A manager does lead the team members, but the primary function of a manager is to ensure that the mission is accomplished through a certain process by a given time.
Typically, a manager is concerned with the ‘how’ and ‘when’ of an organization instead of the ‘what’ and ‘why’. Managers play an important role in the whole process of planning, execution and achievement of the company’s mission.
